Vines House, Crow Lane is a Grade II* listed building. During the course of normal interior decorating early 19th century hand marbled wallpaper was discovered on the staircase during the stripping of later papers. Most of the early wallpaper had been lost through earlier decorative schemes and the client required missing details to be reinstated whilst cleaning and consolidating the remaining historic paper.
Detailed archive research underpinned the project with research visits to the Sir John Soane’s Museum to assist the schemes significance and understanding as supported by Historic England.
